This was an odd bird. haha. get it bird, oiseaux.....ok, i’ll show myself out.
This was quite light on flavor, body and well pretty much everything. Some honey, and spice notes. herbal tea, no bitterness at all. touches of fruit. no pumpkin anywhere to be found. odd.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light pumpkin and grainy notes is so-so. Taste is a mix between some very light pumpkin notes with some grainy notes and light spices. Body is quite full with average carbonation. This one fell a bit short in terms of pumpkin taste.

Bouteille 600ml. De couleur ambrée-cuivrée et claire. Nez moyennement épicé (muscade, traces de poivre), moyen de grains aux notes rôties, légèrement végétal (citrouille cuite) et herbeux aux notes florales (un bouquet d’herbes aromatiques incluant des notes de tisane, de houblon et quelques traces résineuses, probablement dues au myrique baumier). Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-élevé ainsi qu’une texture légèrement minérale et aux petites notes huileuses. Léger goût épicé (muscade douce, traces de cumin? et de poivre) avec des traces végétales (citrouille cuite) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de grains un peu sucrés et aux petites notes rôties avec des traces de pain. Tout ceci laisse rapidement place à un goût herbeux et légèrement floral (herbes sauvages fraîches - myrique baumier, traces de tisanes et de houblon) jusqu’en finale. Post-goût moyen-court et aux petites notes sèches, composé d’un léger goût épicé et herbeux.

On tap at Tangle Town, pours a clear dark copper with a small beige head. Aroma is a muddle of various spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin filling, and other indiscernible stuff. Flavour is a fucked up melange of spices; tastes like household cleaner and medicinal tones. Awful stuff.

A lightly hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a strange sweet honey malt, faint and boring. In mouth, a sweet honey malt, clover, light watery, and boring, waxy, strange. Cask at Toronto Cask Days 2012, Oct. 27 2012.
