Can from the lcbo. Amber, orange pour, small white head. Aroma of slig spice, oak, and touches of vanilla mingling with some pale malts. The body and carb are run of the mill for molson. The finish is a tad buttery, with more woody vanilla, and pale malts. Why would you oak age a lager? Not my bag,

A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light oaked notes, vanilla, not bad. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light vanilla, oak, decent. Decent.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color lager with a medium size foamy head with medium retention and not much lacing. Aroma of light vanilla with light caramelized sugar is OK. Taste is also dominated by light caramelized sugar with some light vanilla notes and very subtle oak notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. Not bad but not great either. Not sure who they are trying to convert with this offering

Bouteille 341ml.

Comes in a 6-pack of brown bottles. Seems like Rickard’s is growing lately (lots of new kind). This winter lager pours a clean, light-amber colour, with a big frothy off-white head, good retention and loads of dirty lacing. The aromas are a mix of good and bad. Decent vanilla from the oak and some mild spices, but has a few adjunct ingredient found in cheaper swill beers. The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly creamy. The taste is a little better, not tasting the adjunct stuff. Again, light vanilla from the oak chips (as I do not think they used barrels for this - at this price). Also, a nice sweetness with notes of whiskey in the background. An overall pretty good lager, and above average product from Molson (that I would buy once every winter). Kind of a lighter tasting Innis & Gunn brew.
