Dark orange amber also, with a thick bigger bubbled head, off-white, and lacing. Would have imagined hops would be more pronounced, but I found them more coniferous, with nice fruity esters, berry-like. In mouth, the hops are definitely sharper in mouth, but less long, almost dropping more quickly. Citrusy and caramel. Actually prefered Cascade better.

Bottle: Poured a deep orange amber color ale with a nice medium dark foamy head with great retention. Aroma of sweet floral hops with a good malt backbone. Taste is also dominated by the floral hops with a decent touch of bitterness at the end. Creamy texture make this even more enjoyable.

Bottle on 10/7/2005. Pours an orange-gold-amber color, nice creamy white head is well-retained. Aroma of fresh, leafy, juicy hops, quite floral and aromatic, with light citrus fruits lingering in the background and a hint of honey and biscuits. Flavor is bitter and assertive, but not over-the-top, IMHO. Soaked hops, almost a tea-like flavor, with light grapefruit and oranges. Creamy/frothy mouthfeel, as always, with some of that light yeast apparency typical of the brewery (sort of a dry, earthy flavor). Ends quite dry, bit of perfuminess but no alcohol. Malt and mouthfeel are well done, as I figured they would be, and the hops are enjoyable as well. Another solid offering from this fine brewer.
