Où, Quand, Comment : Dégustée en fût au Saint-Bock à Montréal (printemps 2007).
Visuel : Couleur : jaune dorée. Apparence : semi-voilée.
Arôme : Fruité (framboises), léger de céréales.
Goût : Entrée de bouche : Goût fruité légèrement acide (sirop de framboises). Un léger support de céréales est également présent.
En bouche : Corps : mince. Effervescence : moyenne. Texture : aqueuse. Finale : plutôt courte et un peu sèche, composée d’une très légère aigreur fruitée.

After having their blueberry version which was very weird and all over, this one is much better. Still light-golden and white head. Still a little skunk weirdness in the smell with the raspberries. But the hops and cigarette butches are not as present, focusing a little more on the fruit. Refreshing, and better than the blueberry version.

Bottle @ the rake dungeon acquired via Secret Krampus. Pours a touch hazy yellow appearance with an off white head. Fake raspberry syrup aroma with a touch of chemical and soda water. Twangy, sweet grassy, raspberry flavor. Slight off notes but honestly, it just doesn’t taste all that good. I have a hard time seeing anyone actually liking this all that much.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of strong fake syrupy raspberry. Taste is also dominated by this fake raspberry syrup with some sweet and almost cloying notes. It is really unclear to me what the market that they are trying to penetrate is – I never though there was a large portion of the population that was ready to pay for some overpriced fake fruit based beer.
