Sweet caramel malts, bitter grains, light grassy hops. The finish is alot of wet paper, and metal. quite sweet, and Watery. Meh.

After having their Mons Abbey Rousse, trying this one to see if really different (even though one an ale and this one a lager). Right off the bat, seems pretty close. Deep amber, warm cap, long lasting with foamy lacing. Same toast aromas over the roasted and caramel malts, with less fruitiness. The taste is malty (a little nutty) with some light sweetness. Hints of chemicals, more in the nose than flavours. A little tart in the finish, but no floating yeast like the other. Nothing worth having again.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color lager with medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with light cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by light dry caramel malt with light cereal notes with some light biscuit notes. Body is light with medium carbonation. Nothing special and not that close to being great for the style.
