Smells boozy. The taste verges right around that strong lager kind of taste of all those tall cans from northern europe the hobos drink. There’s isn’t much complexity other than the booze and some caramelized sugar tastes going on. Pours reddish amber without any head. Bottle from Peluso’s.

Originally rated January 2006. Bought at the Dépanneur de la Rive in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. Pours a deep caramel-amber colour with a decent creamy off-white head. Good lacing too. The aroma is quite mild, specially for a strong beer like that. Some alcohol and apples, but very light. The apples are also present in the taste. No alcohol burns though, very well-hidden. Very smooth and pleasant. The best Multi-Brasses brew I have had so far.

Bottle: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a medium foamy head with medium retention and no lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with sweet ester is not that great but still enticing. Taste is a bit too much dominated by candi sugar with some interesting ester and not much presence form yeast. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not as bad as some of their other beers but too sweet for style with a lack of yeast profile .

Bouteille.

Just checked Cappy’s rating and said: better taste while its still fresh. Bought at Metro Johannette in April 2005. Lightly hazed deep reddish brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana and light citrus. Rather nice sweet candy sugar sweetness with lemony notes, notes of oranges and aniseed. Some hops are detected in final, very restrained and peppery, with lighter than expected alcohol warmth. Finally, a good Multibrasse!
