500mL bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose is very weird, with cough syrup, medicinal notes, some tar, burnt dark fruits and sugar. Flavour is quite repulsive, with cough syrup and overly sweet, almost-infected tasting, medicinal notes ,with some burnt dark fruits buried underneath. Not sure what the hell they were going for here, but this is a horrendous mess.

Originally rated September 2006. Bought at the Dépanneur À-Tout-Prix in Laval, Quebec. Pours a super dark brown with red highlights. Its tanned head has pretty good retention, but lacing falls a bit short. Fruity, caramel sweet nose with some alcohol. Mild burnt wood is in the back. Creamy mouthfeel with a slight burn at the end, but nothing offensive. The taste is the same as the nose, fruits (apples, mild cherries), roasted malt and caramel. A very good beer for Multi-brasses, but just lacking the top of what a Belgian brewery would brew.

Bouteille.

Dark clear brown with mahogany hues. Thick onctuous moka head. Sweet caramel aroma with honey notes, with grape juice notes, a bit off putting. However, in mouth, loads of caramel malt, treacle, molasse, nutty notes, and ripe cherries. A bit thin for the style, but I agree with MT, one of their better offerings. Alcohol burn in finale. Joanette for 3.99$ Sept. 2006.
