From my dear parents who picked up a bottle in Canada: Pours a reddish color with a white head. Aroma is grain and malt. Taste is slightly hopped, but mostly malty. Good balance through and through that would make for a good session ale. I thought it was plenty alright, although it was not really that interesting of an ale.

(600mL from the LCBO) Poured cool, a reddish amber with an inch of foamy cream head. Aroma of caramel malts with a nut character and a little bit of roasted grain. Flavour not too sweet, malt again, toasted nuts, smokiness, light vegetal hop bitterness, finishes fairly dry and grainy. Fairly light-bodied, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable and solid, but not particularly complex or interesting.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear brown color altbier with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light caramelized malt with dry cereal notes. Taste is quite refreshing with nice notes of caramelized malt and dry cereal with very subtle lingering sweetness. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed for style and pleasantly drinkable.

Golden-amber. Malty, caramel nose. Light nuttiness and caramel, with a vague peanut accent. A little bit of peachy ester as well. Pretty uninteresting fare.

A dark brown ale with a thick light moka head. Aroma of caramel, roasted coffee and nuts. In mouth, a very nutty alt, with good caramel malt base, roasted grains, some woody notes, and some nice herbal hops. Overall, really enjoyed this one. Bought at Ottawa Jazz Fest, 5.50$ for a 16 on. cup.
