Caramel malts, solid hop base. Great bitterness. I had this after moving boxes into my new house for about 3 hours. Jesus christ did it hit the spot! It was quite refreshing. I really enjoyed it.

Amber with good head and lacing. Nice dose of slight funk in aroma with some noble type hops. Decent for style, certainly. On tap at brewpub in Montreal, opening night.

Aroma: Very slight accents of cereal and caramel with a bit of barley sugar. Nose not sticking out much. Appearance: Amber / brown, slightly hazy, average thickness, density and lasting for head, with a very nice lacing. Taste: Attack is showing a good mix of cereal and hop. Bitterness is settling more at the end and is lasting in mouth for a long time. Second zip is showing more grain with little notes of caramel. Finish is hoppy with a long lasting bitterness. A well balanced beer without any extravagant flavor but simple and pleasant. Would make a good everyday beer.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Malt and light mineral aroma. Malt and light caramel flavor with light earthiness. Medium bodied. Malt and light caramel linger.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Thanks Armin! A touch hazy, orange appearance with an off white head. The nose is fucked up. Tangy, old garbage orange peel, mineral, nasty aroma. This flavor is very rauchy, tart, infected, dms-laced, and unpleasant flavor. Unfortunate to try the beer in such a poor condition.

On tap. Poured a clear amber red with a near white head that dissipated to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma had a good amount of grain and bread with a bit of light fruit and flora to give a bit of complexity. Flavor was similar with grain, bread and hay with a bit of flora and light fruit in the finish.

(hiver 2006-07)

A copper amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with musty notes, flowers and honey. In mouth, a vienna like chalky sweet malt, lightly nutty, a bit of roasted coffee thrown in, not bad. On tap at Vices et Versa, Nov. 12 2010.

Bottle: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a super huge off-white foamy head with great retention and some perfect lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with a dry aftertaste and no hops are discernible. Taste is also dominated by some somewhat boring dry caramel malt with no floral or hoppy notes. Body is about average with perfect carbonation. Forgettable at best.
