From old tasting notes. Labeled as "Wild Rice Garten Brau". Deep yellow gold color. Soft nutty malt aroma. Smooth nutty toasted malt flavor has a clinging mouthfeel. Delicious subtle spicy hop finish. Great balance. Very well done.

Draft at the brewpub. Brewery malt room aroma. Orange-tan color with minimal head. Creamy and smooth, with some faint hop balance. Fruity and mild malt taste. Medium to light bodied, a very easy drinker. Sessionable, non-offensive beer. OK at best.

Aroma of sweet potatoes. Light malt flavor. There is lots of real wild rice in the flavor, as well as brown sugar with some nuttiness. Interesting.

Late summer 2005 bottle from StewardofGondor, consumed on 5/31/06.
Rosy hued orange-golden, with a fair amount of sediment left on the bottom. Head is off-white, initially large and recedes to partial cover and ring.
Highly fruity nose suggests raspberry essence, light pink grapefruit and sweet, nutty almond paste, all combining to give a sweet, yet not too sweet aroma, that is full and soft. Apples and cherries are lightly noted, with warm, gooey brown bread-like maltiness that further comforts.
In the mouth, sweet caramel is immediately tempered by hop bitterness (light nectarines, floral notes and some orange). Brash raspberries (must be a yeast ester?) hang on the finish, with a crisp, natural carbonation that clears the sweet malt. Mushy at times, but fresh on draught, I have no doubt this would be mindblowing. Comfortable, soft, nearly creamy texture with low filtration. Serve it cool, as it is most crisp there, but allow it to breath so that the hops really come out and the malts lose their chewy, mushy sweetness.

Summertime. Summer beer. The back porch. 87 degrees and humid. Sitting in front of me is a pale yellow leaning toward copper beer that poured and tasted heavier than expected — nuts, grain and a touch of sweetness. Light on the aroma. Nice carbonation with each sip which fits well with 87 degrees and humid.

Noogfest Small creamy head on a medium yellow beer. Light malt aroma. No real strong stand out aromas or flavors for this one other than some light spicyness.

Burnished amber colour. Slightly sweaty, caramelly aroma. Light and lively character, with the slight nuttiness from the wild rice. Mild overall, but subtley characterful and individualistic.
