Sample @ GABF 2019. Pours a dark amber brown color with an off-white head. Has a fruity malty woody spicy rye whiskey and caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty rye and caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy woody rye and caramel finish.

Bottle. Deep amber body. Short frothy off-white head, diminishing. Earthy aroma. Herbs, alcohol, whiskey, but mostly herbs. Sweet flavor with peppery alcohol finish. Medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of herbs, alcohol, oak, rye. Just ok.

Brown with a thin, creamy head. Aroma of whiskey, vanilla and oak. Just a hint of fruitiness. Cherry, maybe. Taste is sweet with a grainy bitterness on the back end. Big, robust body. Warming at the finish. Quite good.

Hey, tastes like a carbonated Manhattan. Hey, I want a beer, not a Manhattan.

Bottle at home actually I bought for pack so probably drink three of them. Burnt copper color. Nose is herbal, some cherry, whisky barrel. Damn if this doesn’t taste like a Manhattan (one of my go to cocktails actually). Tastes of cherry, whiskey, vanilla, herbal, some doughy yeast and wood. Some booze on the finish. Sip it like a cocktail since it’s 12.7% interesting idea FB.
