Bought locally, no dating on the can.

It pours a clear amber gold with over a finger of foam, very good lacing.

The smell is very hop forward. I get notes of pine and grass and some toasted malt.

The taste is very assertive. Big piney hops with some grass and toasted malt with all 3 being very noticeable. Pretty darned good.

Good mouthfeel, almost juicy.

Excellent. This tickles my fancy.

Can - pours a light amber - many beers of this style seem to go the straightforward approach and make an assertively hoppy pale lager - as the description on the can states, this is an “ipa-style lager,” which seems to mean it’s got a more ipa-like malt bill and is fermented with a lager yeast - this results in a far more malt-forward and sweet beer - not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not what I’m hoping for in an IPL - I mean, they’ve accomplished what they set out to do, I think - tastes like Victory Hop Devil as a lager.

On tap at Beasts & Brews. Pours a slightly murky, straw color, with a medium, frothy, beige head. The nose is lavender, papaya, wet cardboard, and dough. Dry and dusty, with a sharp, assertive bitterness. Light body, with a crisp, sticky palate. This is an assertive and hoppy lager, but still light and sharp.

12 oz. can purchased at Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Thanks G-unit! Pours a cloudy bronze color with a thick khaki head and great retention. Great lacing. Floral hops aroma. The flavor matches the nose. Floral hops flavor dominates. The 76 IBU are more mellow than expected. This is just another pale ale IMHO. The 7.0% ABV is well hidden.

Draft and can. Deep golden body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, resin, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, water/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Hard to pick out much lager character because the resin, pine, grapefruit taste and bitterness dominate. Thick mouthfeel. If I didn’t know this was an IPL, I’d say, OK, average and drinkable IPA.

Wibby brewing IPL paired with a Shephard’s pie taco at BruFrou. Nice copper color with a light beige head and big hop aroma. Bitter but clean it is pine all the way. Solid enough.
