• Doux (alc 2% vol)
• Demi-sec (alc 3,5% vol)
• Brut (alc 4,5% vol)
• Brut Traditionnel (alc 5,5% vol)

Bottle: Poured a golden color cider with good carbonation. Aroma of semi-dry apple notes with light barnyard notes. Taste is somewhat straightforward with semi-dry apple and light barnyard notes. Drinks well but fairly limited level of complexity.

750ml on Phill's deck. Appearance: clear golden with a weak white head. Aroma: dry and sweet apples with some tannins. Taste: along the same lines, quite sweet as for Brut. Overall: pretty nice for me as I like sweet stuff.

750mL bottle, pours a clear pale copper golden with a small white head. Nose brings out sweet apples, a bit of champagne-like effervescence, and brown sugar. Flavour is medium sweet—certainly above average sweetness for a French cider—with light champagne-like effervescence, and lots of residual sweetness. Not much farmhouse funk, just a touch of rustic character, and too much sugar. Not a good example of a French farmhouse cider.

750 ml bottle, as Cidre Bouché Cuvée Spéciale Kerisac Brut, made by Ets. Guillet Frères, purchased from Seven Cellars. ABV is 5.5%. Clear golden colour, pours sparkling with a large head that lasts a few seconds. Rustic aroma, notes of apples and sheepshed, a hint of sulphites. Dry and crisp flavour, has still a decent apple character.

Shared bottle. 5% ABV. Hazy golden colour. Dryish aroma, hints of cowshed. The flavour is sweeter than the aroma made me expect, very rustic, but not a favourite of mine.

Bottle from Super U shared at camping in Plougoumelen. Clear golden with big bubbles. Light apple, pear, hay, apricot, fresh twigs, orange, cooked apples. Almost medium sweet, quite light bitter and tart. Almost medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a bit watery finish. Bit light and bland, nothing off though.

Sweet apple, sickly nutty water, somewhat milkfilmy and weird. Quite sweet and light bitter. Medium body and low carbonation. Maybe the cheesy look of the bottle with the alu-wrap around the neck and the abundance of Celtic fonts were a bit of a giveaway.

Supermarket bottle shared at the cidershack at Domaine Pouldrait, Piriac-sur-Mer. Clear golden with no bubbles left. Sweet apple, sickly nutty water, somewhat milkfilmy and weird. Quite sweet and light bitter. Medium body and low carbonation. Maybe the cheesy look of the bottle with the alu-wrap around the neck and the abundance of Celtic fonts were a bit of a giveaway but still a bit disappointing. /// Saved half the bottle for the next day with a proper cork. Next day I didn’t notice off flavours at all. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cidre Breton - Brut on 01 Aug 2019 at 12:14 - Score: 6.
