The Emilisse Stout is enhance by a blend of fine Italian espresso beans used in the brewing process. It boasts a blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta, which combine to give the Emilisse Espresso Stout an extra-spicy, full-bodied palate.

330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin head. Aroma is roast coffee with a little raisin. Taste is mostly coffee throughout with some roast on the finish. Full in the mouth to start with a short finish. Could be fuller flavoured.

330 ml bottle bought @ Bierzwerg.de. Pours black with a big frothy mocha head that clings to the glass while slowly dissipating. Smell is rather subtle with roasted malts, quality coffee, burnt sugar, soy and rubber. Taste is slightly sweet and very bitter with tons of high quality coffee, heavily roasted malts and rubber. Finish is dry and bitter with coffee. it very much lives up to the Espresso part of the name. Very much tastes like good coffee and even though that is a pleasant taste it gets a bit one-dimensional.

33cl bottle. Pours cloudy coffee colour with a coffee head. The nose has coffee beans and earthiness - also some green beans. The taste has bitter coffee and earthiness. The palate has not as heavy a body as expected, a big creamy texture and a dry coffee finish. Overall, a good beer but it doesn’t distinguish itself from other coffee beers.

A black beer with a medium and beige head. Aroma is soft, coffee, balanced roastiness, chocolate, nice sweetness and some sourness; nicely and balanced aroma. Roastiness and black coffee are the strongest tastes, also some sweetness with balanced bitterness. Full- bodied, smooth and nice to drink. Very coffeeish beer as the name promises, thus coffee lovers will like this. Anyway, this beer is also nicely balanced, thus I think that also others like this.

33 cl bottle. Thanks to Countbeer! Clear, black liquid with medium to big, thick tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, vanilla, fruity hops and toast. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter and has notes of espresso, dark chocolate and some ash. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Aroma was a bit weak, but the beer looks great and tastes of really nice coffee. Well done.

draft at the Farmhouse in Burlington, VT - Pours black with a small light tan head. The aroma is of dark roast malt, coffee, and chocolate. Sweet chocolate flavor blends smoothly with dark roast coffee. It’s full bodied, lightly carbonated, and really, really good. Superb beer!
