Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 25. AROMA: moderate roasted aroma with a chocolate character. slight alcoholic peppery note. low nutty background. APPEARANCE: dark brown to almost black color. translucent with ruby body against light. medium light brown head with low retention. TASTE: toasty malt flavor with initial sweet and coffee notes. slight nutty note. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium-low carbonation. slight alcohol warmth. OVERALL: a porter with more roasted notes and darker than usual.

Black color, beige head with medium lasting. Aroma has light notes of roasted malts, slighty coffee. Flavor is light bittery..., and light coffee... and light black chocolate... and light roasty... Light body, roasty final.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with a warm reddish hue and a beige head. Sweet, figgy nose, subtle roast. Medium body, very soft on the palate, licorice and dark, dried fruits rather than roast. To the sweet side with hardly any bitterness. Very pleasant and smooth Porter. 060116

Pours sheer black with short-lived tan head. Aroma is liquorice and coffee, coffee and liquorice. Maybe a hint of dark chocolate? -Maybe, but mostly coffee and liquorice, liquorice and coffee. Round, dense and full-bodied. Begins quite sweet, which hides the final bitterness (must be in the high IBUs, though it’s quite difficult to say). Nice porter, all in all.

Aspecto típico de porter, negra de tintes rojizos, con espuma beige, poco duradera. Aroma tostado con notas de café. Sabor conseguido, malta tostada, chocolate. Tira a dulce, pero es bastante equilibrada y muy bebible, con ligero amargor. Cuerpo moderado.

Caña summer Bree Festival Gijón 22-08-2015. (r3). Color negro intenso con espuma también algo oscura. Aromas y sabores maltosos con ligeros toques de cafés y chocolates. Cuerpo medio fácil de beber. No está mal.
