a: oily deep black coloured body | super thin rich brown head
a: aniseed | permanent marker (fresh sharpie!) | mushrooms at end
f: rich earth | roasted oatmeal | coffee finish
t: bitter | thick malts (duh!) | boozey
o: still pungent after all this time | no real halvah or sweet flavours | strong and decent, just not good/great!

16 ounce can | Knightly Spirits (store): Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida | 19-April-2019 | US$5,22 | canned: 07-January-2019 | sampled: 29-August-2026 after running my long run for the week in training for the USMC Marathon 2026!

Black with a thin, frothy head that fades completely. Sugary, molasses aroma. Chocolate and vanilla underneath. Taste is birthday cake sweet without much nuance. Feels like someone aiming for a flavor bomb by tossing a lot into the vat .. and not much else. Thick, oily body with a touch too much carbonation. Quite drinkable but no great craftsmanship.

01/07/19, sweet nutty chocolate stuffs but a bit of a metallic nose and boozy back that doesn't go away. Nice pastry thing though
