Stout version of Gulden Draak Classic, since 2018.
De Gulden Draak Imperial Stout is een donkerbruin tot zwartkleurig bier en is het zwaarste bier in het Gulden Draak gamma met zijn 12° alcoholprocentvolume. De typische gebrande smaak wordt verkregen door het toevoegen van gebrande, gekarameliseerde mout die exclusief hiervoor gebruikt wordt. Het is een zeer goed uitgebalanceerd zwaar bier.
De afdronk is rijk en krachtig. Bij het proeven van dit speciaalbier ontdek je aroma's van banaan en chocolade. De nagisting komt prachtig tot zijn recht en zal de hogere alcoholen perfect uitbalanceren.

Bottle.Dark brown colour with medium head.Aroma of licorice and malt,nice roasted with hint of brown sugar and malt,nice mild spicy with smooth finish.

Bottle, 330 ml shared with Miro B and Max. Dark brown with beige head. Caramel, malty, sugar, bit cloying. Quite sweet. Medium bodied.

Almost black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has dried fruitness, some liquorice, anise. Taste has dried fruits, apricot, some liquorice. Medium+ bodied. Different approach to IS. Strong belgian nuancees with dried fruits and spicyness.

BBT 05/2022. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of coffee, dark malt, honey, licorice. Taste, dark malt, honey, nougat, alcohol. Very Good. Maybe not clear IS, but very tasty.

Bottle at BBT 5/2022. Medium body, high carbonation. Not really imperial stoutish, feels like a classic quadrupel. Very good at that though. Lots of dark and dried fruits, moderate dark candi. Light cola-ish, caramel. Sufficiently complex, very well balanced. Subtly phenolic yeasty Belgian character. Very good.

Bottle at BBT 05/2022. Malty aroma and taste, roastyness, belgian spicy yeasty notes, medium bitter, light sweet. Full body, malty spicy bitter sweet finish. Good.

0,33 flaske nydt på Vaulen badeplass (!) i et hyggelig påsketreff med Bryne: Brunsvart med utmerket skum hele veien ned. Mørke karameller og sjokolader, svisker og andre tørkede delikatesser, mørk sirup, litt dessertkaffe. En lekker og søt dessertøl som egentlig kan nytes i små glass og godt selskap hvor og når som helst,.
