Copper-coloured, with ruby-red highlights, and a rich, tan head; our Red IPAs complexity is all too apparent. Prominent pine-needle and citrus hop aromas, bold flavours of bitter-orange and grapefruit. The toffee-sweet, caramel malts and creamier mouthfeel balance beautifully amidst lingering bitterness, gentle alcoholic warmth, and a subtle, toasty aftertaste.

On tap at Christchurch Brewers Collective, Riverside Market Christchurch. Nitro! So lots of swirling undercurrent leaving a medium sized creamy head. Mild sweet biscuity nose. Red beer with no carbonation. Nice lacing. Bitter full bodied. Notes of toffee and malt give way to a nice balanced bitter finish, slight hint of fruit. Very very nice, smooth and well balanced.

Can from Hamilton Beer & Wine. Pours clear ruby amber with decent beige foam. Aroma: malt, caramel, toffee, red berries, candied orange, spicy hop. Taste: light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter, follows the aroma. Grass/pine on the finish. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Very decent red IPA

518ml bottle. Pours a gorgeous orange red with a long lasting fluffy white head. Caramel, tobacco, dried fruit, apricot, sweet peach syrup stuff, touch of orange, bit of biscuit. Good body. Very nice.

Light haze on this amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Caramel malts, not that sweet. Savoury mid. Some ripe orange and marmalade. A little floral bitterness on the finish. Tidy, but more of an amber.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear amber body with a thin beige head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of stewed tea, burnt orange and caramel. Flavour of grape, rust and slightly medicinal. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. Pretty good.
