I've been to many Spanish cities, but not Barcelona. Still, I think this tastes like Barcelona.

22 February 2019. Bierproeverij CVO Gent, thanks Tim, cheers to Ghent beer posse & the lovely Anke. Pours cloudy black with a lasting, thick, foamy, dark beige head; irregular lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, mocha, brownie dough, 'Baba cakes', custard, hazelnut, cinnamon, cookie, zuppa inglese. Taste is medium malty sweet, quite chocolatey, brownie & cookie dough, touch of custard; light to medium roasted bitter middle has coffee roast & mocha, some roasted nuts, spicy notes of cookie spices, licorice & cinnamon. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, bit earthy, lingering mocha, cookie, bittering fondant. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Not lacking in depth; I expected a bit more, but at this ABV I'll accept it as an almost sessionable pastry Porter.

440ml can thanks to Taboada. Pours black, frothy tan topping that persists. Aroma has pleasant cinnamon, vanilla & cocoa acting as a nice precursor to the overal character of the beer. Seems to gel quite nicely. Low bitterness, high drinkability. Very good.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Deep, chocolate brown. Fine, viscous, tan head. Nose has coffee truffle. Dry roast malt. Vine fruit. Cinnamon stick. Some vanilla. Taste is slightly vinous, tangy bitter. Some chocolate and vanilla sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel. Fairly rich. Fine fizz. Nicely tangy, vinous finish. Great porter.

This is a big beautiful coffee thing. Black, thick head, coffee all over it. Dark chocolate, toasted malt. No sweetness but it's not overbearingly dry or bitter. Lovely.

Draught at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Shared with Finn. Slowly diminishing fawn-coloured head leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Coal black body. Promising smell of dark dough with a touch of cocoa, smoothly roasted. Rounded taste profile of mid-sweet cocoa, nuts, and subdued spices. Mildly roasted ending. Smooth on the swallow. Fine depth. Well crafted porter, (Tromsø 26.01.2019).
