75cl bottle from Manoir de Kinkiz. Pours a relatively clear gold. Aroma of autumn orchard, cellar, farmyard, myriad apple fruit. Flavour profile presents a really great combination of flavours, farmyard, overripe apple mush, cellar dust, wooden barrel and a light tannic on the finish. Such great balance, moderate fine carbonation, really comes together very well. Love it.

375ml wired cork bottle from The Oak Barrel, Sydney. Opened with a very large pop. Clear orangey gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of apple, fruity, caramel, funk. Taste is apple, orchardy, farmhouse funky, leather, with a caramel note and some drying tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, drying tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle sampled thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy light golden with ring of white bubbles. Thick farmyard notes, goat, cow sweat, soft dry apple, pear, light hay and dry minerals. Just medium sweet, light sour. Medium bodied. Nice!

Bottle shared at home. Loud pop, mist leaking from the bottle. God I love that. Pours loud fizzing slightly unclear golden cider with lots of fine bubbling going on. After a good few minutes the bubbling calms down and leaves a white ring head. Greasy, cheesy and sweaty smell. Old gone brown apples, wet oak wood, mold, moss, pig’s grease and chorizo, goats in the barn, funky smoky parmesan, applesauce, rust and tannins. Moderate sweet and bitter, some greasy sickliness, nuttiness and a strong dry bitter finish with crisp tart edges. Medium body and some spritzy carbonation. Yes I like ‘em like this. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cidre De Fouesnant on 07 May 2019 at 23:17 - Score: 8. 750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is extremely funky, with lots of stinky feet, funk and barnyard. Flavour is very funky and sweet, with lots of dry champagne-y notes upfront, followed by lots of barnyard funk and a pretty high amount of residual sweetness. Despite the high sweetness, this is really nice.

750 c&c from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours translucent gold with a fizzy white head. Interesting aroma of apple and golden apple skins. Mild. Freshish. Med body almost. Flavor is quite ripe apple - seems more golden than not. Again there is a woody, astringent aspect - tho it’s not excessively dry. It’s making me think of Norman farmhouse cider. Specifically Le Verger de Giverny. Which I now think I should have rated a bit higher. French cider seems ever quite good.
