Oak fermented country style lager. Triskel is a pale lager brewed using a traditional German-style double decoction mash. Brewed using Czech Pilsner malt and hopped with German Tettnang. Triskel’s fermentation starts in open tanks for one week and finishes three weeks later in oak. After lagering it is dry hopped using French Triskel hops.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy, yellow gold pour. Frothy white head. Earthy, sourdough bread aroma. Flavor is rustic and malty. Notes of oak, lemon, light minerality and white peppercorns. Fairly complex for the style. Very enjoyable.

16 oz can. Aroma is minerals, sourdough bread, and some soft lager yeast. The flavor has some old citrus upfront with the bready malt center. Finish is mild noble like hops. Crisp texture. Quite a nice mish-mash style lager.

Can from Tavour. Pours slightly translucent gold with a white head that didn't last very long. Aroma is floral/spicy with pale malt support. Med body. Flavor is spicy/floral with definite wood notes. Fairly dry and mildly bitter - but the flavor comb is fairly strong. Good beer.

25ml at Rustico Ballston pours a clear gold with some creamy white head. Nice nose, bready, doughy, some straw and dried grass. Flavor follows, more grass and herbs to start, then grist and dough and yeast. Nearly creamy finish. Good.

Canned late-August, drunk 10/3/21. Clear, deep golden-brass with a very large, dense, white head showing great retention. Lime, mineral, sourdough, biscuit and some pepper and light herb in the nose is pretty well packed for its size (though not overdone). Strong maltiness is evident, yet it's not sweet or heavy on the honey. Soft and malty in the mouth, as the series is apt to be. Oak-lagered, double decocted beers are about as good as it gets (see Tree House Trail series) and this is no exception. A little bit more sourdough character from the malt and perhaps a touch stronger on the acidity from the hops, but nonetheless striking and delicious, with a massive drinkability and great flavor for its size.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a stein. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Caramel and hay aromas. Crisp with hay and sourdough upfront turning to earthy hops in the lasting finish.
