Panda many thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, small but tidy darkish tan head. Smooth dark malts, good smooth dark chocolate, fruity dark chocolate and mild cocoa. Whisper of smooth coffee underneath. Maple? Not obvious to me, but maybe lost in the general good fruitiness of this one. Fairly light finish. Just a nice rich and ripe fruity Impy this one. Enjoyed every mouthful and could have quaffed considerably more. Cocoa coffee ripe fruity linger.

Bottle at home, from an online peddler perhaps HOTM, 06/08/23. Black with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is big on coffee grinds, vanilla, earthy roast, dark chocolate, spice, cacao nibs, dark malts. Taste comprises coffee bean, light spice, chocolate, dark malts, toasted brown sugars. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid coffee forward impy.

Pours a thick, dark, oily black, with a very small, delayed tan head. Aroma is coffee, maple syrup, some chocolate, dark fruit. Flavor largely follows, along with a touch of smoke(?). Very, very sweet, with a smooth, silky mouthfeel.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out deep dark roasted coffee notes, espresso, more coffee, and a touch of maple syrup. Flavour is decadent, with intense dark roasted coffee and syrupy maple. Intense palate of roasted malt, espresso and maple syrup. Rather viscous palate, though not exactly packing the complexity as much as I'd want. Very good overall for sure, but not mindblowing.
