330ml bottle. Clear amber, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is creamy toffee malt. Taste is very much focussed on caramel malt with an appealing sweetness, lightly bitter, some toasted malt notes. Nice light pale.

Bottle from Great Grog. Clear deep golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts, grass and toasted malt. Flavour of steel and lemon zest. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. This is a touch too sharp for me but I’m looking forward to trying more beers from this new brewery.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden amber with nicely proportioned lacing. In the STF glass which holds it just perfectly. Nose - orange, canned pear. Soft malt and general fruit salad notes. Taste - more canned fruit salad. Malty backbone again. Palate - soft textured and light to medium bodied. Overall - interesting, very smooth pale ale.
