Can. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grapefruit zest, spearmint and melon rind. Flavour of lemon and pine. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I loved this - it’s bright, juicy and very refreshing.

Can from Hoptimism, drunk at home. Mid- to dark gold, slightly hazy with a thin film of white head. Aroma is very light: some stone fruit, apple, mint. Pronounced bitterness in the taste after a sweeter initial character. More green apple in the long finish. Heavy carbonation. Good enough but a bit too nondescript for a higher rate. It certainly did grow on me though.

Can from Stori. Appearance - hazy but attractive yellow. Fluffy head. Nose - apricot and peach. Some citrus too. Taste - orange and apricot. Possibly tropical - passionfruit or papaya. Palate - creamy and light bodied. Balanced bitterness on the finish. Overall - very nice.

Can. Light haze on this gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, a reasonable fine minerally carbonation. Somewhat thin malts that deliver a modicum of sweetness and no more. Local and Wai-Iti have a pithy edge here. Thin but bright mandarin and a touch of lime. Pine dominates both. A little esters. Light crisp finish. It has its moments but it needs a lot more hop intensity.

440ml can. Unclear golden amber, frothy white head. Aroma is floral, some mild stonefruit. Taste is nicely balanced with a nice mellow fruitiness, great pintworthy drinkability, moderate bitterness. Makes me want to decant 2 cans into a big glass to remind myself what drinking in a pub feels like. Really enjoyable, great hop combination.
