Sample, thanks to Grumbo for this! Unclear amber colour. Sour funky nose. Taste is noticeably sharp, tangy, acidic with sharp woody splinters. Slick tart apple fruit, sharp tangy close. Holds no punches.

29/1/2020. From Bag in a Box at the 13th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear pale amber with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of funky apple, touch of sulphur and cider vinegar. Light sweetness and medium tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Crisp with quite a sharp tart finish. Not bad.

BIAB at York Beer & Cider Festival 2019. Clear golden amber colour, no head and aroma of tannic apple. Taste is tangy apple, leathery funky, some solvent with fruity, drying earthy tannins. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Very drinkable. Well worth badgering the bar staff to get from round the back!
