Black with quick fading head. Aroma has dark malts and a little bitter cocoa. Flavour has a constant but well balanced chilli buzz and light chocolatey notes.

Black with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma matches the expectation: milk chocolate and Habeneros. Plums underneath. Taste is mildly sweet with a strong chili bite. Too strong. If I want this much chili I’ll eat Mexican. A good example of chili misuse, which in my opinion should be subtle in a beer. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Texture slightly watery at the finish. Drinkable but flawed.

Black, and pretty clear. Hardly any foam, very pale brownish. Smells deep roasty, and some chilli. Mouthfeel is pretty thin for the ABV, with some subtle chilli heat at the end. Taste is roasty, without much chocolate or any lactose. Some chilli taste.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with little head. Aroma is dark malts, full on chocolate, some coffee, caramel and molasses. Medium body. Flavour is nice complex dark malts, with very intense chocolate (of course enhanced by the addition of chocolate), some coffee, caramel. Some fig and prune notes, and some nutmeg as well. Light bitterness. Then a nice chili heat hits as well as some vegetal flavours that go with it, but neither is too strong to make it imbalanced. Finish is bittersweet, chocolatey and with a long lingering chili heat. Very nice, hits the mark perfectly with the chocolate and chili being very nicely balanced.
