Kámen Český granát sbírali na našem území již staří Keltové. Je to kámen všesvazujícího ohně, vášně, ale i čistoty srdce. Obecně je však znám jako kámen lásky. Díky své typické barvě se začal jeho název přeneseně využívat ve spojení s barvou tmavých a polotmavých piv. Novopacký Granát je tmavý sladší ležák s kvalitní hustou pěnou vhodný k řezání světlých druhů, alkohol 5,3 %. Stáčí se do skleněných lahví NRW 0,5l, dále pak do nerezových sudů KEG 30l, 15l.

Tap at Novopacka pivaren. Aroma mild once again, DMS vegetal astringency, light coffee. Dark brown colour, clear. Beige head, moderate duration. Taste is roasty up front, acompanied by the tragic DMS. Overall more drinkable than Krystof, but still poor.

(Draught at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 19 July 2013) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, toasty malt and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, caramel, raisins and a gentle bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite nice.

Bottle on Friday night poker, was excited to rate my final style hopefully now illl have them alll fornlonger than 1 day like last time. Pours dark brown with beige head. Nose of malt and chocolate. Tastes very malty, and of earth, resin, chocolate, brown sugar, and leather. Dry finish.

Bottle. Czech lager whale shared at 5K/10K/4K tasting. Pours reddish black/brown with off white head. Nose and taste of light chocolate, roasted barley/grain, lager yeast and hint of dark roast. Medium bodied.

Tap at Novopacká piváreň, Bratislava. Pours clear brown with a foamy, tan head. Lightly toasted caramel aroma. Toasty bread flavor, medium sweet, with creamy caramel and light toffee, some faint leafy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Toasted malt finish, caramel, light leaves, light hints of coffee. Has a mild herbal quality. Very decent beer, nice balance.
