From tap at De Tijd, Dordrecht. Smokey Lapsang tea with brown malts, caramel, touch of nuts and toffee. Moderate bitter and light sweet. Very nice, smokey Lapsang, right up my alley.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy ruby, mocha head. Aroma: Malty, caramel, smoke. Taste: Caramel malt, smoked meat, salty smoked fish. Just below medium body, quite thin. Below average carbonation. Long lasting dry-ish bittery smoked finish. Ok.

Magus, suhkrune, veits seebine ja musta suitsuse teene. Huvitav, aga ilmselt ei kordaks. --- Beer merged from original tick of Smoked Bock on 14 Jun 2021 at 22:42 - Score: 6. Original review text: Magus, suhkrune, veits seebine ja musta suitsuse teene.

Bottle. Amber brown pour. Aroma of nice meaty rauchmalz, bacon, smokey tea, malt and caramel. Taste of savory rauchmalz, caramel, smokey bacon, herbal tea and some dates. I love this style and this is a tasty example.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Dominant aroma of Lapsang Souching tea. Medium to full bodied. Malty, yet fairly dry, roasty caramelly flavor with dominant lapsang souching. Interesting beer.

Bottle at home. Pours clear brown with fluffy tan head. Sweet toasted malts, roasted grain, licorice stick, lapsang souchong tea leaf, herbal and smokey notes, some plasticcy dead yeast, rust and leather. Strong sweet and bitter, seaweed herbal bitterness and umami notes, a thin myst of sourness clouds the finish. Over medium bodied with average carbonation. Quite an unbalanced blast of strong aroma’s, somewhat in the right direction. --- Beer merged from original tick of Smoked Bock on 06 Mar 2019 at 22:08 - Score: 6. 0.33 l bottle from ''t Kleine Uiltje', best before July 2019. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite smoky aroma of caramel, lapsang souchong, seaweed, nuts and some smoked eel. Medium sweet, malty, quite smoky taste of lots of lapsang souchong, seaweed, caramel, nuts, some smoked eel and a touch of raisins, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather smoky and slightly salty finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Unexpectedly good, fits well into a series of nice beers using lapsang souchong I've tried recently. Really well-made, not unbalanced, moreish.
