Bottle from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is brown malt, caramel, spicy notes, dried fruits, notes of plums and figs. Flavour is fairly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium. On the sweet side, but nice, dig the dried fruits.

I guess it's winter! Caramelly thing, little bit toasty, and slightly heavy. Lots of Belgiany flavours, some wheat and clove, bit of laurel, and mostly plenty of sticky sweet caramel. Thanks Thijs!

Bottle 33cl. from Boerenjongens deli, Amsterdam @home poured into a teku glass. Opaque ruby brown colour, small fizzy beige head, mostly diminishing, some lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, molasses, liquorice, dark fruits, raisins, dates, cinnamon, alcohol notes. Taste light light heavy sweet and light bitter taste, malty, some roast, caramel, liquorice, molasses, festive season spices, boozy notes. Full-bodied, oily to sticky texture, soft carbonation, sweet and malty bitter aftertaste, alcohol, spices till the end, rich brew, very nice.

Dark amber color. Medium sized head with brownish border. Aromas of roasted malt, ripe banana, spices. Medium plus body with sweet taste (caramel, toffee). Finishing where some bitterness takes over the sweet tones. Ok, but not very convincing.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Toffee and soft spices in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with soft spicy notes (cinnamon). Kaneelstokken. A bit too sweet for me.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in October 2018. Clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins, plums and some molasses. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, molasses, raisins, prunes and a touch of chocolate, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent Winter Warmer, quite simple but pleasant and saturating.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Dark brown with an off-white head and lots of unsightly floaties. Malty spicy aroma, some light licorice, some cinnamon. Taste is rather sweet with a thick cloying body. Really nice, ever so slightly boozy, doppelbock.
