Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is spicy with strong gale, black pepper, clove, brown malt, caramel, and candy sugar. Flavour is sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. Sweet and quite spiced, not my kind of beer but certainly decent.

Bottle, 6.2%. Aroma of brown sugar. Hazy nut brown colour. Small tan head. The flavour is quite sweet and nicely spicy. Caramelly finish with a citric touch. Low to medium bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel. Good and very flavourful for the ABV.

Draft. A brown beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, yeast, malt, and dried fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, dried fruits, malt, and yeast, leading to a sweet finish.

(Draught at BRLO Brwhouse, Berlin, 11 May 2019) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit and plums. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, dried fruit, prunes, spices, cherries and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Draught @ Highlanders, Aarhus. Pours clear brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, berries, light spice, pepper. Flavor is sweet, light spicy, malt, yeast, caramel, spice, pepper, little juniper. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, sweet light spicy finish. 031019

Bottle. Brown color. Caramel and juniper in the aroma and flavor. Sweet with hints of pepper. Pleasant, more complex as a standaard Belgian dubbel.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Brown with an off-white head. Dark caramel with some juniper berry and indeed some black pepper and even some figs.. I cannot sense the gale consciously because I don't really know what it smells/taste like though. Taste is sweet with a light bitter finish. Another fine, interesting Jopen collab. Next!

Bottle. Red brown pour. Aroma of caramelised malt, dates, raisin, juniper and spices. Taste of caramelised malt, juniper, raisin, caramel, sweet spices, dates and a little yeast. I like the juniper in this, enjoyable beer.

20-04-19 // tasting flight at BRLO BRWHOUSE Clear dark amber brown. Strange Dubbel. Probably due to the added spices. More of a dry sweetness. Minimal liquorice. Darker caramel. Nice.
