This collaboration brew is all about courage, maturity, self discovery, mortality and other deep, thoughtful things like that.

It’s about stepping out of line, ruffling the wrong bird’s feathers and facing the consequences.

Or maybe we just accidentally added unapologetic amounts of hops in it and now we’re trying to play it cool and smart.

And no, it’s not a reference
to Duck Hunt!

0,33 boks, på La Linterna Ciega, Sevilla: uklar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Rugsyre, bitterappelsiner, overmoden lime, furunål og gressløk. Lurer der noen tørkede tropiske frukter langt bak? Solid maltkropp og like solid (men fruktig) bitterhed.

330ml can. Pours murky orange with a beige head. Aroma of citrusy, tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange, spicy rye. Taste is fruity, citrusy, grapefruit, orange, zesty peel, spicy rye, a little sweet caramel, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not usually keen on rye IPAs and wasn't on this at first, but it really grew on me, really nicely balanced.

Draft. An unclear amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, rye, wet hay, caramel, and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.

330mL bottle at La 100 de Beri, pours a cloudy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy hops, with light floral notes, and caramely bready malt. Flavour is on the malty side, with lots of floral and earthy hops, heaps of caramel malt and some bready malt. A highly malty IPA despite the triple dry-hopping. And it works, but it's not quite my thing.

FEB-2019. #2. Really cloudy amber, soapy off white head. Aroma is your regular big ripe citrus pulp and some zesty resins, more malts than usually in the background, a little candied peel. Same with the taste - hoppy, with a tad more sweetness in the malt base - not exacltly caramel, more like candied fruit. Smooth pithy bittermess, big enough to shadow the gentle rye spice - at least, I don't get any. Totally different from batch #1 - just goes hand in hand with the overall evolution of Hooligans' IPAs. Very good. 4,0/5.

MAR-2018. #1. BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Hazy amber, creamy off-white head. The aroma is ripe fruit and fresh grass, hop dankness and that spicy green onion note. Similar taste, moderate to strong fruity sweetness without being too sugary or malty, robust yet soft dank and spicy coating bitterness. Quite nice, not screwed at all. 3,7/5.
