Zwanze Day at the Kernel. Thanks, as ever, to Mr Smith for sharing the HF goodies and this is a goody! Lightly hazy gold beer, big head, very pale cream colour. Palate is airy and a little soft. Mild fine carbonation. Airy malts support lovely hops - Skunk and Motueka like sweet ish floralness. Light hops spice. Pine develops toward the light and semi dry finish. Piney skunk lingers on. Just really nicely joined up and very drinkable.

Cloudy orange with a small white head. Hoppy aroma of citrus, peach hay and herbs. Dry and herbal flavour, with citrus and bubblegum. Pleasant bitter finish, but the hop character isn’t much tomy taste

On tap at Mikkeller bar. Hazy, amber-golden with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, caramel malts, grape, sweet exotic fruits. Taste is bitter. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with citrus, caramel and grape. Excellent, true to style DIPA

Growler split at Zwanze ’14, massive thanks and largesse creditdom as always to Herr Schmidt, 20/09/14. Lightly hazed orange golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is skunked up hoppage, pine, bitter citric peel, light smoke, citric sherbets, mandarin, yuzu. Taste comprises mandarin, dank hops, spice, tangy tropicana, peach, pine, light must. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid DIPA Aktion !!!

750mL bottle, sent from my sugar daddy, pours an opaque golden orange with a medium white head. Nose is certainly a West Coast hop bomb, with resinous hops, tons of different juicy fruits, like tangerine and mangos, candied sugar, and maltier backbone than most hoppy Hill Farmstead beers. Flavour is along those same lines, with a sweet flavour profile than typical for HF IPAs, bringing out resinous hops, lots of tropical fruits, some residual candied sugar and a caramel bready malt backbone. It's a kickass IIPA for sure, but perhaps not up to the usual standard of HF's hoppy beers due to the higher sweetness. Still, excellent stuff.

Growler thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy golden-orange with a medium white head. The nose is soft, juicy, orange, tangerine, passion fruit, light soap and sherbet. The taste is crisp, juicy, orange peel, light booze, mango, peach, grapefruit, candied peel, sherbet and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation foamy mouth-feel. Juicy and fruity. Nice.

From a huge 64oz growler. Poured a slightly hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was fresh smelling, citrus and grass notes - not quite cat pee, but close. Flavor was relatively well balanced between malts and pine, with a very small touch of booze coming through. It wasn’t bad, but it was otherwise completely unremarkable compared to previous, and much better, Society and Solitude releases I’ve had in the past.

Grower thanks to Kyle! Pours a clear deep amber with a white head that dissipate to the edges and remains. Aroma has a good amount light citrus and pine with a hint of bitter pine and sweet grains. Flavor has a great combination of bitter citrus and pine backed by some earthy rains.
