We love an excuse to brew an Imperial Stout and a collab with our local friends Track Brewing Co was a good enough reason as any!

Originally released on the Winter Solstice, we wanted to create two complimentary and equally decadent Imperial Stouts to enjoy on the cold evenings, Cassiopeia and Perseus were born. (We can confirm these Impys are just as good on warm day...We just like Imperial Stouts!)

Our half, Cassiopeia, is a chocolately treat with notes of caramel sugar and subtle salt, supported by a body that’s smooth and luxurious!

The artwork on both cans was also a collaboration. To highlight the Winter Solstice, the phases of the moon become a shared motif on both cans and allow the artwork to flow through both cans when put together. Cassiopeia and Perseus are neighbouring constellations to reflect the closeness of our two breweries!

Can split at L6, thanks to Danny, 10/02/20. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is sweet malts, chocolate dipped strawberries, vanilla essence. Taste comprises sweet malts, cocoa sprinkle, brown sugar melt, light coffee, faint roast. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising kiss of alcohol. Passable for the style, overly sweet and lacking balance.

Can shared in London - cheers to Dan. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy tan head. Tasty if a little too sweet and silly, slightly artificial, chocolate, toffee. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Sugary finish. Bit novelty.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is semi dry and fairly light, decent fine carbonation. Layered chocolate here, semi sweet dark chocolate, fruity dark chocolate and a somewhat bitterish powdery dark chocolate. The savoury caramel comes to the fore towards the end. Dry dark chocolate powder linger. There is a lot going on here and it's undeniably tasty but it doesn't quite bring all these elements in to a symphony. Good nonetheless.
