Keg at The Craft Beer Shop, Little Chalfont, Bucks. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, dark chocolate aroma and taste. Decent enough stout.

Can at home, from somewhere online, 01/07/20. Black with a well presented khaki covering. Nose is toffee, brown sugar dusting, light coffee bean, cocoa sprinkle, dark malts. Taste comprises roast malts, toffee, dried fruits, cocoa dusting, light charr, brown bread, raisins, faint spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough well rounded stout.

Can from Elusive brewery. Sweet vanilla-coffee aroma. Dark and glossy - cola brown in the light. Thick foamy tan head. Initial bitterness is tempered by underlying sweetness. The coffee and liqourice then come through but it's never overly bitter. Medium bodied. A certain creaminess to it. Average-fizzy caronation. Long finish Nice enough if slightly muted.

Many thanks for 440ml Can to Theydon_Bois. Poured into small ratebeer best glass. Thx Colin. Piwo ciemne ale z lekkim przeswitem bordowo-buraczanego odcieniu. Piana srednia, malo trwala, pewnie przez te puszke. W aromacie czekolada deserowa, praliny. W smaku czekolada, nieco kremu czekoladowego, troche wina polslodkiego. Srednie nuty palone. Ogolnie dobre.

440ml can. Black with a tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast malts. Taste is the same, lots of dark chocolate with strong roast malt character, some coffee too perhaps, good bitterness, smooth. Medium-ish body. Classic stout, and a pretty decent one too.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours clear brown with a foamy, beige head. Restrained gear, with moderate dark malt character, some milk sugars, dry cocoa, mild roast. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with a bit more milk chocolate, nips of raisins, earth, burnt crackers. Tasty if a touch basic.
