We enjoyed the fruits of our labour when brewing Come in Number 51 and our West Coast DIPA with Beerbliotek so much, we've gone in for another West Coast IPA, Tunnels of LA! Featuring a simple malt grist of extra pale malt then dry hopped with Amarillo + Simcoe. Tunnels of LA has a light ester aroma, a sharp bitterness which we've raised a little higher from our latest West Coast brews and features a bouquet of floral flavour, rich pine and orange marmalade.

Maybe not quite on par with the other west coast IPAs from North, yet still a very solid beer. Drinkable, nicely bitter with a lovely malt profile. Hoppy with lots of pine and some citrus fruit. A very classic west coast IPA.

Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Flavour of lemon and honey. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. It’s nice but isn’t one of this excellent brewery’s best IPAs.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen (20/02/2020) - hazed golden pour with a white covering. Fruity with waves of peach and grapefruit, pine needles, sweet malty backing, medium body, light caramel sweetness, piney hoppy finish.

440ml can. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of pine, orange, marmalade. Taste of sweet malt, marmalade, caramel, orange, pine, floral, some bitterness but not as much as they imply, could do with more really. Medium body. Decent.

Can at home, 01/03/20. Almost clear golden with a well presented off white cap. Nose is melon, grass, tangerine, toasted malts, light perfume, hint of grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, ripe melon, trace floral, airy malts, light pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with juicy hop bitterness. Decent enough clean drinking IPA if a touch safe and restrained perhaps.

ABV: 7.0%. Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average duration, fruity hops, hop bitter, pale malt, citrus - grapefruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
