Very dark reddish brown beer, thin tan head which fizzles out. Aroma has some malt and a big hefty whack of coffee. Flavour has lots going on. Lots of coffee again, malt, syrup, a little breadiness, some booziness. It's got a rich, smooth body. Hearty, warming stout. I could've gone a dash more sweetness but it's a minor gripe.ovely stuff.

Keg at Brewdog Paddington, London. A black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Sweet, roasty, malty, coffee, chocolate, caramel, dark fruit aroma, tastes similar very rich with a nice amount of Columbian coffee and a hint of maple syrup in there. Really nice imperial stout.

440ml can. Black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, subtle smoke/meat. Taste is sweet fruity/chocolate/roast, coffee, maple is subtle needs way more, the smoked malt is also very subtle and doesn't really provide the desired bacon flavouring, finish is actually quite bitter. Medium body. Overall a decent coffee stout but needs more of the adjuncts to fulfil its objective.

Can thanks to ma bro. It pours black with a rugged tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, rich roast, umami, fruit cake, maple syrup, dried fruits, coffee grounds, malt loaf and molasses. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, yet savoury, roasted peanut, maple syrup, coffee grounds, peanut butter, charred wood, ashy coffee, leather, toasted spice and a touch of alcohol with a drying, toasty finish. Medium to full body and moderate carbonation. Decent gear fun stuff. I like the bitter - sweet balance.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate, brown sugar and big coffee note. Taste - dominated by coffee. Like cold milky coffee. Brown sugar again. Burnt bread and burnt raisin. Palate - medium bodied, roasty and burnt. Dry roast finish. Overall - good.
