Naam
‘What If God Was One of Us?’ De naam verwijst naar de hit ‘One of Us?’ van Joan Osborne. Dit lied werd gedraaid tijdens het event ‘Meet the Brewer Perennial Artisan Ales x Jopen’ in de Jopenkerk Haarlem. De brouwers van Perennial Artisan Ales en Jopen hoorden het nummer en waren er snel uit: zo gaat deze collab heten! Tevens een verwijzing naar de thuisbasis van Jopenbier: de Jopenkerk Haarlem.

On tap at Jopenkirke. Semi-hazy yellow with thin head. Nose is tart, dusty and somewhat hoppy. In taste it’s primarily sour with a hint of bitterness and it closes with the combination of these two. Light bodied with average carbo, refreshing and easy to drink.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is fruity and citrussy with lemon, grassy hops, and light peppery yeast. Lightly sour flavour with a modest hoppy bitterness in the finish. Body is light to medium. Won't bring in any awards but it's a tasty little summer beer, crisp and sessionable.

Bottled 330ml. -from Schneider’s Getränkemarkt Cologne. Unclear yellow/pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild sourish lemony nose. Lemony, touch of fruits and brett, mild hops and grapes with sourish finish. Not bad.
