Can. Black brown pour. Aroma of smoke, peat, caramel, raisin, dates and malt. Taste has caramelised malt, smoke, savory peat, raisin, dates, oak, plums, vanilla and a boozy finish with a bit more peat. Bowmore works well with the sweet wee heavy. Nice one.

Can shared thanks to sjogro. Clear dark reddish brown with beige head. Glue, light smoke, peat, apple, sweet toffee, sour berries, ash. Like sour smoked apple? Tobacco, 🍏, cough, 🎃☠️, ashtray, light meaty. Just medium sweet, medium bitter and under medium sour. Over medium bodied. It’s like you gave children a bunch of leftover trash and the made it into this. But why actually sell this???

Can picked up in the Netherlands, consumed at home Saturday 13th September 2018 whilst cooking a proper authentic Spaghetti Carbonara with Homemade Potted Crab (starter) Dark reddy brown with ruby glints, A touch boozy and far too peaty for me, it's sweet with added germoline, sorry but it's not my thing. 330ml can. Pours dark ruby brown with a large head. Aroma is toffee, raisin and light peated whisky. Taste has sweet toffee and raisin throughout with a peaty whisky finish. Soft mouthfeel.

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before July 2021. Clear, deep ruby with a thin, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity and slightly smoky aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes and some peat. Quite sweet, malty, gently fruity and medium smoky taste of molasses, raisins, prunes, blackberry, peat and a touch of chocolate, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, quite smoky and a bit warming finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant and not the peat bomb I expected. The smoke only really comes through in the finish and provides for the necessary counterpart to the malty sweetness. Overall a very tasty beer but not as great as the Pedro Ximenez version.
