During long, hot Summer days a haze would descend on the countryside. As the men returned from days in the field Mr Hunt would call them to the cellar saying, “Yer, have the Hazy Dazy, tis a bootiful drop,” describing his classic Sweet, Cloudy cider

Hazy yellow gold with a small bubbly head and tart apples on the nose. Smooth and medium sweet, with a sharp little kick and floral notes in the finish

On tap (BIB) at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours a slightly hazy almond yellow with no head at all. The aroma has freshly cut apple peel. In the mouth it is sweet, smooth and juicy with plenty of mainstream apples plus floral and citrus hints. I don’t really go for sweet ciders, but this was rather nice.

BIAB sample courtesy of Grumbo from 11th Elysian Winter Beer Festival, Cheers Graham! Slightly hazy gold colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of mucky apples, sugary. Taste is sweet, apple, toffee apple, some apple core, and light tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying finish. Quite OK.

17/01/2020. From Bag In A Box at the 11th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours slightly hazy very pale gold with minimal head. Aroma of sweet apples and sugar, slight touch of woody funk. Medium to heavy sweetness, minimal tartness. Moderate body, watery oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Sweeter than I'd normally like my cider but this was not bad.

Draft at the Royal Navy - Bristol. Pours totally clear yellow. The nose holds funky and sweet apples. Medium sweet flavour with a little salty bite, bitter peel, musty hay bales. Medium bodied, a little chewy, soft. Finishes with some musty dryness, ripening apples, bitter peel. Not bad overall.
