BIAB sample from the 42nd Bedford Beer & Cider Festival courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Pale gold colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of pear flesh, floral. Taste is juicy pear, some pear flesh and skin, flowery, some tart funk along with a solventy undernote. Syrupy mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, medium-sweet finish with some tartness. Quite drinkable.

4/10/2019. BIAB at the 42nd Bedford Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear very pale yellow gold with minimal head. Aroma of sweet pears, baked pears, light citrus and a hint of polythene. Moderate sweetness and medium tartness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft to flat carbonation. Sharp tart pear finish. Quite liked this.

Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival, as Whiteheads Novo Pryus Perry (spelling error, probably). Hazy greenish straw colour. Strong and pleasant aroma of pears. Dry, slightly acidic flavour of sourish perry pears.

Cask at the north riding brew pub. Pours hazy yellow with no head. Aromas of pear drops and hubba bubba. Taste is more bubblegum too. Strangely sweet at first. Big pear aftertaste, slightly chalky finish.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Proper green silver perry colour. Bit sweet, but the pear fruit really comes through, it’s ok, but a bit straight up pear fruit.
