Can. It pours an oily dark brown to black body under a very small beige head. Roasted malts, chcolate and coffee, some licorice and brown sugar in the aroma. Alcohol and hints of peanut butter. It's full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, softly carbonated, with lots of malty flavors and sweet flavors. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and licorice notes and some nuttyness. Alcohol. Lasting finish. A bit rough and intense, well suited for sharing. 231118

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head that doesn't hang around long. Smooth palate, light for the style, decent fine carbonation. Soft dark chocolate malts backdrop, a little chocolate ganache and malt cream. I get the cheesecake vibe, smooth and sweetish, doesn't have the bite of fresh cheesecake, but nice. Pecans don't leap out for me but are they are well integrated into the flavours, perhaps a little too much so, only really coming to the fore on the smooth finish. A mild warming afterglow. Quite moorish and smooth. Never quite makes it to the top echelons though, just a little pixie dust missing.

Svart farge med tynt beige skum som forsvinner raskt. Lukter karamell, ostekake, nøtter, nugatti. Fyldig. Salt lakris,, brownies i smak. Sødmen kjennes godt i ettersmajen.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Jørpeland. ABV is 12%. Pitch black colour, thin tan head of poor retention. Aroma of pecan nuts and cheesecake (yes, really), also roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Very moderate carbonation. Sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, the sweetness and the pecan nuts are nearly overwhelming. Warming throatfeel. Hardly a beer I'll buy again.

Can at home. Pours a deep brown to black colour with a very small light brown head. Aroma of sweet nuts, licorice, cheesecake, chocolate truffles, liqueur and caramel. Flavour of ash, black currants, leather, dark chocolate, caramel and warming alcohol in the end. Has a soft and silkt mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Sweet and rich, but is well balanced.

Black with a minimal light brown head. Heavy aroma of cheesecake, caramel sauce and nuts sense. Lots of sweetness with a good cheesecake and some caramel Finnish. Love these beers.
