Bottle, kindly donated by Cunningham, many thanks. Aroma of dark malt, chocolate, hazelnuts, milk chcocolate Taste is different than aroma, dark malt, light chocolate, touch of coffee, plum jam, light sourness, boozy alcohol. Nice.

170ml draught at Ølhallen. Shiny naked surface, scattered lacing, pitch black body. Smoothly roasted scent of mid-sweet dark malts with a bourbon twist, appealing. Solid taste profile of black malts, chocolate and liquorice, together with dark dried fruits including a bite of prunes. Velvety and warming aftertaste of chocolate malts sustained by alcohol. Full bodied. Nice sipper qualities. (Tromsø 11.08.2020).

Sample on tap at HaandBryggeriet tasting, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, small tan head. Aroma of fusel alcohols, roast malts and molasses. Warming mouthfeel. Rich and pleasant flavour, notes of American oak and bourbon, some fruity notes too (cherries).

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with light brown head. Distinct aroma of bourbon, aroma of dark chocolate, ethanol, dark fruits, vanilla. Tastes fruity sour with quite some sweetness. Medium bodied.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 22.06.20. Ebony. Dark brown head and lacing. Aroma of higher alcohols, bourbon, dark malt, oxidation and salty liquorice. Fine, and surpirsingly drinkable taste, of black malt, bourbon and sour coffee. Quite dry.

Bottle. An oily pour reveals a black body and close to no head. It's rather boozy on the nose at first, but soon smoothens out. Roasted malts, brown sugar, licorice notes, coffee and some dark chocolate. It's super smooth on the palate, warming and full bodied. Softly carbonated. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, brown sugar and some bread in the flavor. Lasting sweet and warning finish. Delicious, but a bit fresh. Would love to repeat it in a year or so. 191214

Fra fat på Apollon, sammen med Håkon juni-20: brunsvart med ok skum. Superfet og kompleks med svisker, sviskeplommer, kolesteroltruende sjokoladekake, dessertchokolader og delikat, nybrygget kaffe. Lekker bitterhed med hint av lakrissjokolade i avslutningen. Et nytt koordinat å navigere etter, og en av de beste jeg har smakt fra Haandbryggeriet. 8-3-9-5-18

Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with some chocolate and coffee notes - Dark malt body with chocolate notes some wood and a heavy alcohol sting - The dark malt flaovurs goes into the finish with alcohol burn - This was a little to hot on the alcohol, still good
