Can at home. Pours a slightly hazy straw colour with a big off-white head. Aroma of minerals, spicy hops, sweet corn, flowers, grass and dry hay. Some diacetyl. Flavour of grass, dry hay, kiwi, white bread and spicy hops. Some apricot and hints of lime. Has a slick mouth feel, light to medium body and soft bitterness. Tasteful and a very nice pilsener.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grass, hay and floral. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with a long grass, hay and floral finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

0,5 boks (ordentlig størrelse for en pils!) fra Vaaland 1889, delt hjemme med Kitty: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. En crisp og riktig forfriskende pilsner med citrus, urter, jordaktige toner pluss hint av lyse bær (!) og mersmak i en velsmakende maltkropp. Kan med fordel kjøpes igjen, og ekstrapoeng for at Kitty likte den veldig godt.

Can from Coop Mega. Don’t usually try standard pilsners from craft breweries as I had a lot of bad experience here. They are often not very successfully and at the best ending up be a decent version at double price of a god macro version. This was a positive surprise for me. The taste is classic but still tasty, crisp, smooth and well made. Nothing revolutionary but that’s not the point. An honest, well made pilsner. Slightly unclear golden with a fine white head. Aroma feels clean and fresh with pilsner malt, grain and hint of fruit. Taste is smooth with malt, bread, mild citric and grassy hop, balanced bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste.
