330ml bottle, batch 2205, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A fawn-coloured head remaining over a jet black coloured body. Spotty lacing. Appealing aromas of chocolate and cocoa. Powerful taste of grainy chocolate, nuts, and liquorice, woody, lactose beneath. Smoothly, warming, chocolate finish. Mouthfilling. Drinking pleasure, indeed. (Tromsø 16.02.2020).

Draught @ Erlings, Aarhus. Pours black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, rich chocolate, cocoa, light coconut. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, rich sweet chocolate, cocoa, hint if coconut, alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, sweet finish with Warming alcohol. Nice in small measures but sweet and a bit sticky. 070320

Bottle, at Håndverkeren. It's a dark brown, close to black, beer with a nice dark beige head. Cute lacing. The aroma has chocolate, toffee and some nuts, coffee and some vanilla and a very faint piney hop scent I didn't expect. Suspect my nose is tricking me. It's full-bodied and smooth on the palate, sweet but not too sticky, actually it's quite easy drinkable, and there's a soft bitterness dealing with some of the sweetness. Toffee, chocolate, brown sugar, coffee, nuts and vanilla in the flavor, all lasting for a good while. Well hidden alcohol all the way. Sure a fine brew, but there's a sting, almost like bitterness, in the flavor I don't like. 200228

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with dense beige head. Distinct aroma of coffee, notes of chocolate and coconuts. Tastes quite sweet with some roasted bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Tastes like a creamy desert. Easily drinkable.

Bottle. Black body with a medium sized tan head. Nice aroma of dark malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet dark malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate toffee, roasted coffee and decent bitterness that saves the whole thing from getting sticky sweet. Fine balanced body and actually balanced all the way with a rather long lasting, sweet chocolate aftertaste. A slightly different kind of pasty stout that actually tastes more like beer than essences.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, as Nøgne Ø Mudslide Chocolate Dream Imperial Milk Stout. ABV is 9%, IBU 30. Pitch black colour, moderate to small tan head. Aroma of roast malts, cocoa and coffee. Sweet as expected, but not cloying. The flavour has notes of cocoa / chocolate, roast malts and hints of coffee, also a hint of dark berries. Moderate hops in the finish. Nice beer.

Så nå har også NØ kastet seg på bølgen med flytende, amerikanske sjokoladekaker, men det gjør de heldigvis på en overbevisende måte. Selv med bare 30 IBU blir det ikke for søtt. Feit sjokoladekake med kaffekrem som fyll hvor et par overmodne bjørnebær lilgger gjemt. Deilig bitterhet i avslutningen, minner om moccabønner og eksklusive 70%-sjokolader. Upåklagelig utseende. Tar gjerne et gjensyn med denne. 0,33 flasken var fra min drop-in leverandør i Verksgata.

From tap with HDI at Melkebaren 29.01.20. Ebony. Brown head and lacing. Aroma and taste of chocolate, dark caramel, and roasted malt. Quite sweet.
