Bottle. A black beer with a finger-thick light beige head. Cute lacing. The aroma is quite heavy on the bourbon side, with roasted malts, a light burnt touch, some coffee and alcohol. It's sweet on the palate, full-bodied and semi-dry, with a nice carbonation level. Bourbon, roasted malts, coffee, alcohol and a toasted touch in the flavor, with a long finish. A bit dry perhaps, but a fine brew anyway. 200613

Svart. Høyt lysebrunt skum som daler sakte og etterlater litt lacing. God bourbonaroma. Smaken tørr. Trevirke. Lakris. Ekstra tørr avslutning - hvor en kan ane alkoholen.

Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with some wood as well - Dark malt body with dark fruity tones and toasted wood flavour from barrel with a bourbon hint that gives alcohol heat - The dark malt flavour with toasted wood and alcohol heat goes into the finish - This was good

Bottle. Black body under a nice, creamy beige head. Strong and nice aroma of dark, roasted malt, bourbon, wood and vanilla. Taste sweet, nice roasted, dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate, plenty of smooth Bourbon, some vanilla, balancing bitterness and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Really smooth and tasty, still easy drinkable. Nice one.

330ml bottle, batch #319, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Rich lacing form a steady fawn-coloured head. Coal black in the glass. Lovely aroma of roasted black malts supported by a careful touch of bourbon. Dark malt-driven flavours of dark bread, black chocolate, ash, and impact coffee towards a roasted, warming, long-lived finish with subdued bourbon. Surprisingly easy to drink. Enjoying. Will develop over time, I guess. (Tromsø 11.12.2019).

As best as I can tell a new version of the old Grünerløkka Fatlagra Bourbon Stout, but with a slightly higher ABV. Black with a tan, creamy head. Bourbon aroma with undertones of dark and oak. Bittersweet and heavy with a big, boozy finish. Too much barrel.
