The L’Eroica beer has been brewed to reflect the Tour De France event coming to Britain for the first time and reflects one of the great styles of British beer a Pale Ale. It provides a showcase for a blend of classic English hops including Challenger, Fuggles and Bramling Cross that give the beer a crisp and refreshing taste – what could be better after a long bike ride.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of earthy and herbal hops, a hint of citrus. Soft mouthfeel. Lovely and "typically English" flavour of earthy hops, medium dry and crisp, with just enough citrus to make it very drinkable. Extremely moreish - a "four pints is not enough" beer.

Nice cycklist etiquette in the bottle. A light yellow beer, a head is white and medium. Aroma has light malts with some biscuit, fruits and lemon, also lime, some fresh grass. Taste is fruitful, lemony, biscuity maltyness, herbs, some bitterness. Almost medium bodied, quite strong carbonation that’s not so smooth. Quite refreshning and enjoyable beer brewed with english hops.

500ml bottle into an Abbot Ale badged pint tankard at home late on 15th Sep 2015. Pale golden yellow with a good sized white head. Aroma deadened by the over chilling of this refreshing and ’crisp’ Pale Ale, some hop notes arrive later in the nose, but weak. Subtle hop flavours in the taste, light malts in the background. Decent.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham, Friday, consumed at home Thursday 25th June 2015 Pale gold, lovely white bubbly head, super clarity, it looks great. It tastes good, ok so it isn’t a big zappy, tropical fruits or piney or citrus beast, but it’s a damn good golden beer, I like it. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Fresh, citrusy hoppy aroma, hints of lemon and lime, some gooseberry. Taste is dry hoppy, minimally strawy, a touch of lemon, minimally soapy interludes.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - light herb/metallic note. Pale malt backbone. Taste - nettles and pale malt. Nice citrus note on the end. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yes, a good example of the style.
