Imperial and Munich malts give the beer enough body to try and tame the hop aromas jumping out of the glass. Bottle from Waitrose, consumed at home. Golden brown, not quite clear. Modest ring of white head. Big burst of fruit flavours in the aroma: pineapple, mango and white grape. Sweet taste at first before the bitterness kicks in. It’s a bit unbalanced with some odd notes of gummi bears, but I like it well enough. Weakish body but the well-judged carbonation makes up for it. Not perfect but very, very good. I can live with that.

Bottled@AIH53 (from AbM). Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, mild catpissy and resiny notes along with some sweet bready notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, wooden, mild herbal notes with some rather sweet malts and toffee. Quite peachy aftertaste.

Slightly hazy amber color, small steady white head. Aroma has passion fruit, light citrus, quite tropical fruity. Medium-bodied. Tropical fruity, gooseberry bushes in the flavor. Fruity and slightly citric. Nice pale malty background.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, reddish golden to amber colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, grapefruit, some lemon zest, a sugary touch. Taste is initially crisp bitter hoppy with citrusy fruity hints of grapefruit and lemon, later the fruitiness fades a- and gives way to more and more papery, grassy and chalky notes; refreshing, lively carbonation. Nice IPA with rather typical Session IPAic collapse of fruitiness in the finish.

Keg at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Amber with a tight cream head; mandarin aroma; crisp hoppy taste over a sweet orangey body with an oily texture; and a lingering fruity finish that drifts from mandarin to pineapple. Rather good.

Keg at Union Tavern, Westbourne Park, London, Friday 6th March 2015 Slightly hazy, mid amber, a little safe, mid bitterness. It’s a pleasant drop but not a patch on Loz’s Beavertown Bloody ’Ell. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
