Bottle shared with Adamnowek and tderoeck. Dark brown colour, thin layer of foam, disappears immediatly. Coffee, roasted malts, vanilla, whisky. Thin body, light metallic notes. Not bad but a bit too thin.

Boozy and alcoholic as fuck. Loads of whiskey, too much, making it a bit thin and solvently. No balance... otherwise not bad.

Bottle. Black oily pour. Aroma of chocolate, red fruit, roasted malt and vanilla. Taste of coffee, whisky booze, vanilla, charcoal, mild smoke, chocolate, roasted malt and a nice vanilla coffee finish. Really nice surprise.

Bottle at home. Pitch black pour with a thin espresso head that gives way to a very thin lacing. Notes of roasted malts, cherries, smoke, scotch whiskey and alcohol. Full body, medium to low carbonation and a roasty bitter-sweet finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Zwarte Snorre Barrel Aged Imperial Whisky on 28 Oct 2016 at 12:00 - Score: 8

Dunkler malziger Antrunk, viskos, sehr weich. Geringe, hinter dem Malz verschwindende Herbe. Alkoholisch werdend, deutlich nach Whiskey. Vollmundig, süßliche Schokoladennoten. Angenehme Intensität ohne zu stark und klebrig zu sein. 8/12/11/12/11/12

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle at ’Beertemple’, best before March 2017, courtesy of PotjeBier, thanks Arjen, was really looking forward to this one! Pitch black, no head. Sweetish, slightly roasty, moderately peaty and a bit medicinal aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, whiskey, some tar and iodine. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty, medium peaty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, tar and iodine, followed by a long, medium roasty-bitter, quite warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, flat. Good, quite well-balanced, but with a heavy finish.
