This gueuze is obtained by mixing ('versnijden'), young and old lambiek. It achieves a beautiful balance between sweet, sour and slightly bitter, which makes it an ideal thirst quencher on hot and humid summer days. It is only mildly sour with touches of citrus, strawberry and caramelised grains.

Bottle at a tourist trap on grand place, Brussels. Very sweet, more faro than gueuze, to give a positive remark.

Very dark orange. nice clarity. 1 finger head of big bubbles and sticks around fading slowly. has a slight apple, pear and copper penny aroma. Lots of sugar, actually a nice mouthfeel, a bit of apple, some tartness but overall just not a great beer.

Clear pale amber colour, good frothy white head, recedes after a while, fair lacing. Aroma fruity light sour, grainy, citrus, candy sugar, artificial impression. Taste sugary sweet and light sour. Light body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, finish medium sweet, light sour, overall: forget it.

Pours a slightly hazy, light brown color, topped with a small white head, quickly settling to only a circle around the edge. A mild, sweet and fruity aroma, pear notes. The taste is slightly sweet and fruity, but mostly soury, not too much or unpleasant, a nice cidery feel. Like it, very nice and drinkable.

(tap 0,3l @ OP (Brno))
Aroma : Sweet, apple, light sour.
Appearance : Clear dark golden color. Minimal white head.
Taste : Medium sweet, medium sour, apple cider, some fruits.
Palate : Medium body. Sticky texture. Dry finish.
Overall : Nice, interesting. Maybe not so sour for Gueuze, but that’s kind of ’sour beer’ for me.

One of those very few Western Flemish attempts at imitating the lambic beer types from the Senne valley, in this case an artificial, sweet, quite bland ’capsulekensgeuze’ with low lambic tartness and even lower funkiness. Totally redundant, like most beers in this range.

35,5cl bottle. Summer Santa 2014, thanks Beerhunter111!. Hazy golden, thin white head. Barnyard, old cheese, apple and sweetness in aroma. Flavor has ripe apples, sweetness, some metal notes even. Sweet and sticky. Quite bad.
