This gueuze is obtained by mixing ('versnijden'), young and old lambiek. It achieves a beautiful balance between sweet, sour and slightly bitter, which makes it an ideal thirst quencher on hot and humid summer days. It is only mildly sour with touches of citrus, strawberry and caramelised grains.

Bottle @ barely Legal Tasting Room Pours amber-ish, with a small white head . Smel is sweet - More Faro than geuze Taste is sweet, sugary , with a hint of lambic . i’d call this a Faro any day, upon tasting blindly . And I like Faro’s . of course, as a Geuze/sour fan this sucks ass , but tastewise ? I’ll never say no to drinking something like this . I just do not understand why they call it a geuze ... Earlier Rating: 3/19/2013 Total Score: 3.6bottle from the shity bottleshop behind the corner... pours unlike a geuze! how do i mean? carbonation already gives sugar away ( or is that just some weird idea in my had? ) soapy foam, very light orange colour, and the carbonation rising up? thats just like a lager or something... so yeah.. usualy i see only colours and wether the foam is big or not. this is the first time i actualy SEE - this is NOT gonna be a good geuze :p ( or its imaginary , perhaps ) foam is already gone by typing till here.. leaving a thin layer of white at the top smells like a faro . a faro is one of my favourite beer styles, but this is a geuze? WTF ? tastes sugary, again, i would believe this is a faro, by the taste, but the label clearly states st louis premium geuze lambic ( i did not do this as a new entry, since the word premium above it could as well be a diffrent labeling , i figured ) so yeah, a bad faro, ( but not the badest one ) to me. do i enjoy it? for this price -> yeah. but why call this geuze? thats like calling budweiser an imperial stout.. WHY ????

An abomination for the name gueuze. This one is way too sweet and artificial. They should fine St. Louis for abusing the noble gueuze image for this beer.

Bottle @ home. Clear a bit rusty orange color, medium sized off-white head. Musty aroma, cellar, dusty, molten plastic. Don’t like the aroma at all. Lightly malty, a weird fruity-like taste. Low body, low to average carbonation.Earlier Rating: 6/19/2011 Total Score: 2.4Clear orange/yellow color. Smell isn’t that bad, though it doesn’t really invite me to take that first sip. The taste confirms that. Little sweet, lots of sourness.

375ml bottle from Beergusto. Pours clear orange gold, this white head. Aromas of stewed apples, light sandalwood notes. Taste is too sweet. I guess I don’t get the point of sweetening lambic. bitter, saccharine lingering aftertaste.

Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Slight cloudy golden coloured, small off-white head, sourish apple infected like nose. Sour apple, caramel and brown sugar with hint of metal and some odd celery notes in the finish. Not so good gueuze.

dark golden colour, huge and dense off-white hea, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of yeast, earthy and fruity notes (mostly cherry); bitter-sourish taste with yeasty notes as well as hints of fruityness; very far from the best gueuzes, but still drinkable

Yellow pour with some head. Citrus lemony and the funk in aroma and taste. Nice clean finish.
